Dear Members,

The Memphis Redbirds have started their season. Memphis in May is this weekend. Where does time go? 2008 is one-third over. I hope you all enjoyed our April Tech session presented by David A. Schwab covering Sarbanes-Oxley Initiatives for 2008. David was able to take a difficult topic and make it enjoyable for our group: thank you David!

Remember the 89^th IMA Annual Conference is June 14-18, 2008 in Tampa, Florida. IMA is offering a $100 registration discount which ends May 30^Th. Check on line for more information. The conference enables you to earn 30 CPE’s, fulfill your ethics requirement, and network with other professionals.

The 9^th annual IMA Student Leadership conference is November 6-8, 2008 in Jacksonville, Florida. Students should bring their resume as this will be an excellent opportunity to network with sponsors at the exhibits.

Our next CPE luncheon is on May 15^th. We will be offering a 2 hour CPE from the IMA Ethics Series. I hope you can attend and enjoy the presentation by our Past President, Charlene Spiceland. Remember we will start registration at 11:15am.

We are looking for a few Board Members to serve as Directors or Associate Directors for the new chapter year, As a Board Member; you could develop your leadership skills, help our Chapter, and improve your resume.
